Face to face in-house classroom training still a preferred option for some during the pandemic.

At the specific request of a client in East Africa, Well Academy overcame the challenges of travel and COVID restrictions to deliver in-house IWCF drilling well control face to face classroom training. In total 30 delegates over a 4 week period attended  small classes in a good sized modern air conditioned training room. Despite shipping a DS50 portable simulator to location we also proved the viability of using the IDrillSIM in a face to face environment and will recommend it’s use for future remote location training.

Delivering courses in remote field locations and client offices is still a good cost effective viable option particularly where delegates don’t have good internet access at home or have access to the right environment for study. Recent travel by Well Academy instructors to remote locations pre and during COVID include Mozambique, Kenya and Oman.

We are not new to establishing training courses across the globe. Specifically Well Academy team are proven experts in creating IWCF associate accredited centres and successfully delivering both Drilling Well Control and Well Intervention Pressure Control courses. Other courses we have delivered in remote locations include Advanced Well Control, Stuck Pipe Prevention, Well Integrity and Slickline training. Giving our clients training solutions locally has delivered significant cost savings and raised the competence levels of their operations teams.
