Description
The IWCF Well Intervention Pressure Control Subsea module is a specialist optional module designed for professionals working in subsea completion and intervention operations. Primarily aimed at Level 4 supervisors and engineers — including Subsea Well Services Supervisors, Single Intervention Discipline Subsea Supervisors, and Subsea Completion Supervisors — it is also open to experienced Level 3 operators with relevant subsea field experience.
Developed in line with IOGP Report 476 recommendations, the module covers the full range of subsea intervention systems: Subsea Intervention Lubricator (SIL) wireline operations, open water Completion Workover Riser (CWOR) operations, and Subsea Landing String/Subsea Test Tree (SSTT) operations. Topics include subsea pressure control equipment, well barrier philosophy, hydrate management, well kill methods, integrity testing, and emergency shut-in procedures.
Delivered as a standalone 8-hour module, this course is available to candidates who already hold a current valid WIPC certificate. Course size is capped at 15 participants to maximize interaction and learning quality. Assessment is by written examination.
