Well Academy is committed to delivering training that meets the highest industry standards. We are proud to be accredited by the International Well Control Forum (IWCF) and the International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC) – two of the industry’s leading authorities for well control training and certification.
These accreditations confirm that our programmes meet global benchmarks for well control competence, safety and operational integrity.
Our IWCF and IADC approved courses provide individuals with internationally recognised certification, trusted by operators and drilling contractors worldwide.
All accredited training is delivered by certified instructors at our training centres in the Netherlands, United States, Australia and United Kingdom.
IWCF Quality Assured Training
In addition to our formal IWCF and IADC accreditations, Well Academy continues to work closely with the IWCF to advance industry-led training standards.
We are proud to be the first organisation to develop and deliver an IWCF Quality Assured course, following the launch of the Quality Assured initiative at the IWCF Annual General Meeting in November.
The IWCF Quality Assured training framework provides an independent mechanism to review and recognise the effectiveness of training that falls outside IWCF's traditional accreditation scope. It encourages an outcome-based approach and offers assurance for a broad range of programmes, including specialist topics, operational training and continuous learning activities.
Our Stuck Pipe Prevention and Recovery course is the first programme to be endorsed under the IWCF Quality Assured framework. This three-day specialist course delivers a practical understanding of how stuck pipe events can occur and how prevention measures can be incorporated into well design and day-to-day operations. Participants explore detection methods, mitigation strategies and recovery techniques.
In the video below, our Global Training Director, Jan Willem Flamma, shares Well Academy's experience of the Quality Assured process, the benefits of participating in the framework and how it is expected to be received by trainers and delegates.
